Has anyone tried both? (I know the SpecOps just came out). I am specifically interested in how the two pistol grips compare. I have heard that the SpecOps is pretty beefy. I have smallish hands so I want to make sure I getting the right one. Thanks.

I just ordered the specops stock today. From what I understand Knoxx Industries started shipping the specops stock to customers about a week ago and it should take about a month to arrive because of a large amount of folks that have them on order.

Got my SpecOps stock this past week. Took it out on Thursday to wring it out; I will be writing it up for Women & Guns pretty soon.

The pistol grip is a little beefy, but not excessively so. My medium-sized female hands didn't have any problems with it. The only possible complaint I might scare up about the pistol grip is that it's made of smooth plastic -- I mean, there are ridges in it, so it's not bad slippery, but the plastic itself is the slippery type.

Having long been a wimp about shotgun recoil, I have to say that so far I'm enamored of this thing. We'll see how it holds up over time, but so far it looks good.

Sorry, my barrel is out at Wilson being "Scattergunized." Can't wait to try this baby out and I'm dyin' to see a shootout between the Knox SpecOps (pictured) and the Stockshox. Bring it on!!

PS: Mesa shell holder is on the right side cuz I am LH. The question comes up all the time.

By the way, you need a 3/16 ball hex wrench and handle to get this baby (Knoxx SpecOps) on tight. Just the hex wrench and no handle doesn't provide enough torque.

Don't forget the Hogue grip! Tip: It will slip on a lot easier if you spray some hairspray to the insdie of the Hogue and THEN slide it over the SpecOps pistol grip. Let it dry and it will have a nice non-slip bond.

I've got my SpecOps stock, but I'm so swamped with relief work for Hurricane Katrina that I've had no opportunity to fit it as yet. Perhaps in a week or two... :(

Preacher, understandable indeed. And I commend you for your willingness to help. It's a disaster of unprecidented proportions. I never thought I would see such a thing in my own country. Thank you.

Not yet, I'm afraid. I sometimes think I don't have time to breathe, let alone eat or sleep! I guess I'll have to wait a few more weeks, until the immediate crush of hurricane relief work dies down a bit.
