Police Loot New Orleans Wal-Mart Video!

Must see video! I would never have thought it possible in this country until I saw it with my own eyes. A NBC news reporter captures on tape police officers stealing from a Wal-Mart during the recent tragedy. Very sad - I think my country has some serious problems.

Where were the security guards? They must've been hiding in the Cops' carriage full of looted goods.

Now it's for real. You may now change the title of this thread to:

Hate to break it to you, but if those are security guards they are wearing NOPD uniforms, right down the the badge and shoulder patches.
Here is the NOPD shoulder patch which is clearly visible in the clip: http://mypage.bluewin.ch/ecussons/_3.jpg
And here is the New Orleans law enforcement emblem (AFAIC, used by all law enforcement agencies in the city of NO) its gonna look familier if you look closely at the*very* distinctive badges that both officers are wearing: http://www.portno.com/images/PoliceNO.gif

This tape, and others like it, should be turned over to the LA Attorney General, and every single one of these "law enforcement officers" who were engaging in illegal activity should be imprisoned. It is unconcionable that those who are paid to "serve and protect" would act in this fashion.

The above post reminds me of this thread (http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=153189&highlight=eyewitness).

Glad I looked around a little more before I started a new thread with this. Those two ladies are most certainly going to get canned. I bet they didn't count on a camera crew showing up in the middle of their shopping spree. At least they played it cool and didn't shoot the reporter and camera crew to cover up their stupidity.
I know this is going to start a flaming, but what race are these officers? I know it shouldn't matter, but lets face it, the majority of looters are black. I don't think it is so much a race issue as a class issue that is pretty much limited to the lower class who live in urban centers. These people just happen to be black. So these two cops probably grew up in an urban area and despite their duty to uphold the law, their entitlement upbringing couldn't be supressed in this case.

99% of the looters you have seen onTV our Black and 95% of the volunteers are white. Just a fact has nothing to do with a class issue. More the difference in people

They weren't looting. They were securing goods and placing them in police custody to keep them safe. :p

2 out of 1500 equals 0.13% of the N.O. cops involved with looting. What percentage of the remaining civilian population was involved with looting?

Posting video of the "good citizens" looting stores is not worthy of being posted. Compare that percentage to the LEO's and see what you come up with, then you'll really find out how bad this country is.

There is no point. Just mindless blabber.

and if there were 150 looters in the same store, that would be .02% of the NO population based on the 2000 census of just over 484k people.
What's your point?

Humor. And it shows why NOLA was pure chaos and has to point the finger of blame elsewhere, corruption. Yes I guess these were cops, but I tend to think of them as NOLA government officials doing what they do best, stealing.

Those ladies were shopping - not looting. Did they film them leaving the store with their loot? No, of course not. From what I saw, the were actively looking for someone to check them out.

Obviously the NOPD has no standard of acceptable human conduct. And from the looks of those "women", they don't have much of a physical standard either. Maybe it's a good thing they aren't looting for food after all... :uhoh:

I think this thread is a good topic for APS (www.armedpolitesociety.com).
Either that, or it could be a continuation of one of the 4 billion, 386 thousand, 4 hundred thirty-two other threads about the chaos in New Orleans.
