I have a Browning Pro-9 and a Pro-40. With the exception of caliber, both guns are pretty much identical except the Pro-40 rattles when I chamber a round. If I eject the magazine, no matter how hard I shake the gun and the magazine, there is no rattle but when I insert the magazine back in, even a slight movement will cause a rattle noise to be heard.

This doesn't happen with my Pro-9. Is this normal for the Pro-40? Is there anything that can be done about it?

Take apart the magazine, there is probably a small piece of the follower that has broken off and is banging around in there.
