British Gun "Doilies"?

OK, I've seen Brit troops use fabric covers for their SARs -even while in combat, they look kinda like doilies or gaters which cover both the rear and forestocks of these rifles. I imagine that they help keep out dust from these finicky weapons.

I've seen them in both cammo for the field as well as in gloss black on honor guard type units.

What are these things called?
