I would like to get a Randall #1 and a #14. I've assumed the nickel silver hilt would be better to go with. How much trouble are the brass hilts, in regards to tarnishing? I remember as a teenager, having a Buck 110, that had the brass bolsters turn real tarnished, after not being used for a long time.

Does the brass hilt on the Randall need to be cleaned with Brasso regularly?

If they are going to be used the sealer will eventually wear off and need to be polished; if they are going to be safe queens, they might never need to be polished.
