This is too funny.

Moore actually said that he could win the Presidency of the NRA from Mr. Heston if he wanted to.

I sent my postcards to TIME magazine, Oprah Winfrey, Tim Russert, and a special "we thank you" card to Charlton Heston himself.

Make certain you do this NRA members!

I sent my post cards out in Monday's mail. I've got to believe some wise guy actually will vote for Moore, but I'll bet the total tally is going to be a landslide.

What Moore actually said was that if everyone who favors "common-sense gun control" joined the NRA, they could vote him President and take the NRA in its new direction. Then, one assumes, he read the bylaws, because he hasn't mentioned it since as far as I know.

(Of course, even if the NRA bylaws let people vote on their first day, it still wouldn't work. Add up the memberships of the MMM, Brady Campaign, AGS, etc. and it's still a fraction of the NRA.)

Did I miss something?
Is Moore actually trying to run for Prez. of the NRA?
(I just joined the NRA, and as I understand it, I don't get a ballot until I'm a member for 5 years, or upgrade to a Life membership.)
