"Peace march organizers" portray Powell as an Ape..but they aren't racist?

One of the themes of the march organized in San Francisco was to end racisim. The marches are oraganized by a Stalinist group called ANSWER. ANSWER gets plenty of press from CBS and other local media sources that feign ignorance of the fact that this group is as far out there as the dreaded KKK. Here is a look at some more of their work in which they try to portray Colin Powell as an ape.

But he's not really black, since he collaborates w/ Whitey.
Same reason Estrada isn't really Hispanic.

Oops... looks like someone forgot Colin was a black man.Communists don't forget things like that. It is part of their stock in trade. They pit different races, ethnicities, etc. against one another.
As CZ-75 is saying, the Communists simply find Estrada and Powell et al. to no longer be "useful idiots".
They have used their puppets the Demorats so well, that they have successfully engendered enough self-loathing within the Black community (whatever that is) to allow them to use that poster successfully.
They didn't forget anything.
Well, except they may have overlooked the fact that a whole lot of folks like me have their number, and they aren't going to be able to win as long as there is breath in our bodies. :fire: :fire: :fire: :fire: :fire:

Since this is The High Road, a story about Colin Powell is in order. When in England at a fairly large conference, Colin Powell was asked by the Archbishop of Canterbury if our plans for Iraq were just an example of empire building by George Bush.
He answered by saying that, "Over the years, the United States has sent many of its fine young men and women into great peril to fight for freedom beyond our borders. The only amount of land we have ever asked for in return is enough to bury those that did not return."

Colin Powell is a light skinned African American. IMHO, he is an extremely intelligent, decent man. The Bush-hating anti-war "people" are shooting their feet by calling him a "White House Slave" and showing him next to a photo of an Ape. I am caucasion, but I am not a racist, as these Lefties seem to be. Their blind hatred for the Bush Administration is causing them to retreat to the lowest common denominator of propagandists: name-calling.
The sad irony is, any lessons in the Humanities, History, Sociology taught at S.F. University and Berkely appear to be wasted on these infantile hypocties. I think it's about time to quit coddling all the anti-war demonstrators and start arresting them and charging them for the Police overtime wages and any damages to private/public property.:cuss:

Hans,
The reason the charges are being dropped is that every protester charged has the right to a trial that costs the city a minimum of 30 grand per trial. Since the purpose of getting arrested is to bleed the city and the taxpayers the justice sysytem can not handle it.
Justice as we would like to see it is really unaffordable.

I just realized that, since the start of preparations for war began, (or maybe in reality since the Presidential election), I've observed more illogical, emotional, mean-spirited and downright anti-social behavior from the left than ever before. Is it so, or am I just watching more closely?

Is it so, or am I just watching more closely? It's so.
The left is self-destructing in their panic. They have severely misjudged the leanings and sympathies of the much lauded "moderates" in this country. The leftists thought they had made the mistake of becoming too centrist with their choice of Alpha-Gore. So now, they are more radical left than ever. And the Green Party is the Demorat answer to seppuku!
When 9/11 happened, they thought that a few crocodile tears would appease the grieving masses, and then they could return to their mantra "America bad! Everyone else gooood!"
Eeeeerrrrrnnttt! Wrong answer you stupid :cuss:!
Meanwhile, their precious internet is being used against them in ways they never dreamed of. Take DU or MM for example. The DU "All Your Senate Are Belong To Us!" episode? I laughed 'til I almost wet myself! MM had to get rid of his forums entirely. The moment we showed up and offered an alternative to their fantasy reality, they folded.
Not to mention the other ways it screws them. Think of Baba Stweisand and her fake Shakespeare episode, or the equally hilarious idea that every ignorant thing they do eventually gets archived on the 'net as a .jpeg, .mpeg, .txt, etc. file.
A leftist aquaintance argues "Blahblahblahblah..." And I can say "Here is a disk that contains all of the facts relevant to my position, complete with links."
Heh! :p It blowed up in their rat-:cuss: faces.
Now they aren't sure what to squeal. :D
I find it to be more fun than a barrel of monkeys!:D

Colin Powell was not only the first african-american Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, but he was also the youngest ever to hold that position. Read his autobiography, its good stuff. I especially like the part where he was an advisor in the early days of US involvement in Vietnam. He had to tell the locals to stop collecting ears, only a complete body would be considered a "confirmed kill." Not bad for a ROTC guy from NYC.
(Aslo, he met Elvis when they both served in Germany! )

According to the liberals: Colin Powell isn't Black. Bill Clinton is the first Black president. :barf:
I respect Colin Powell but wouldn't vote for him...I haven't researched it but have the impression he isn't overly friendly to the 2nd Amendment. Am I mistaken?
Either way, racism is racism. That ain't cool.

Duh. My point is, why is it racism when targeted at Powell, but obviously not when targeted at Bush? Maybe these folks just think they're both a couple of monkeys.
As far as the Berkeley Iranian student and other unsavory links, there are several sites out there with those photos. I had seen them before and did a quick search. I posted the first one I found, probably not the best one I could have chosen.

Malone,
That's a good question. Some how "the left" feels it has special rights to define what is racist and what isn't. If such a photo were carried by "right of center" people don't you think the left would be screaming racist? Logical extensions to your line of thought in the question, which I happen to agree with, are why is a white police officers association considered racist but latino and black police associations are not? How would a NAAWP be taken or a political party of Anglos called "The United RACE?"
My answer to your question is because "the left" has taught us to think that way.
But you and I know better.
