I would enjoy shooting my Marlin Camp9 carbine more, if I could replace the walnut stock with a lighter weight composite stock. Does anyone know of a composite replacement stock that fits the Camp9 or a composite stock that designed for another rifle that could be easily modified to fit the camp9.

I'm more of a pistol shooter, so I'd prefer a composite stock with a pistol grip.

I don't really need a folding stock, but would consider a folder or collapseable stock if this would help reduce the weight. I've heard folding stocks can be wobbly. Any help or links appreciated.

I believe Choate made (makes?) a composite folder with a pistol grip for the Camp 9. Their folders aren't bad but no folder is going to be as solid as a starndard 1pc. stock. Check Gunbroker and Auction Arms as well as some of the Marlin fan club sites. What ever you do, don't modify the factory stock! Camp Carbines are starting to become popular/collectible.

Take Care,
Mike

Thanks for the advice. I had ideas about trying to sand the old stock. no more.
