Any news, opinions or field reports regarding this knife?

It would seem that there's more hype than anything else and that other more conventional designs aren't really that much less ergonomic.

After four thousand years, a team of marketing consultants and guys with too-easy access to molding equipment superficially and tastelessly redesigned the tactical fixed blade in order to make a profit.

May they fail miserably.

Nice idea for the prybar pommel, though.

The product isn't out yet so no one knows how it performs. I doubt it will be out for this season.

As to the "marketing consultants" comment, the thing wasn't designed by marketing consultants. It was designed by an industrial design engineer (much like Gaston Glock started with a clean slate). While I've handled the prototypes I didn't get to abuse them so I can't have an opinion yet, but I can't discount it out of hand because it looks different.
