How Many of You Have Only 1 (or 2*) Handgun?

...And you have no plans of getting more. Many of us here have multiple I mean multiple handguns (many that don't even get shot very often). I'd like to hear from some of you "oddballs" out there who see no point in having more than 1 (or 2). Tell us what it is and why its so perfect for you. Or, if you know anyone that has just one? Tell us who it is and their address so we can quickly get them into "treatment" :D
*I included those of you who have 2 handguns because having just one is just too "crazy" to believe.:what:

Here, I have only one handgun - a Glock 17L - and don't plan to get a second in the next years.
I'd really like a .22lr, but my brother wants to get a Ruger 512, so why should I?
I'd really like a Glock 20, but ammo is expensive and except for being more powerful, there's nothing a G20 would do better than a G17L.
I'd really like a high-precision handgun, like a Sig 210-5 Sport HF or a CZ75 Sport II, but the only benefit they'd bring is that I could be sure to make it to the state or national championships. And I doubt that would be worth >1000-2500EU.

Well, I started with the idea that I would only get one. Does that count??? :D
I got into handguns about a year and a half ago after convincing my wife that I only needed one and that I was just going to target shoot with it. Needless to say, that one (plus 9 more) handguns and a CCW later............ SO much for ONLY one.
I think most people get bit by the "bug" of guns and seem to want (if you can put "need" here, please tell me your secret;) ) others and just get them.
I have respect an admiration for anyone that can hold themselves to just one. Takes more will power than I have, just ask my wife!!

I only have one...
If that makes it "too crazy" to believe, believe it just the same! :D
Been planning to add another for nearly three years already...
Haven't found one good enough (and affordable enough!) to share bunks with my first love. :D

I only have two handguns presently....I havent been into handguns all that long. Or should I say I havent had a gun all that long ..always been into them. It started with a Lorcin .380 .. I got it from a friend when I did some work for him and he gave me it. Probably coudnt sell the POS. Well with that POS I got hooked and Last Feburary I bought a new Ruger P97. Then sold the lorcin for $75 Begining of this year.. Told the guy it was crap!! So back down to one again. Couldnt have that....Bought a P95 a month ago and have to say a big difference over the Lorcin .380, that was more of a paper weight.. So I only have two till maybe next year at income tax time but well see. But happy with two for now. Cant shoot more than two.. Not growing any more hands!

well, i originally intended to have only 2 -- a glock 19 and 30. i had it all planned out:
- a 9mm and .45. two classic calibers
- both glocks to keep the same manual of arms
but but but, i live in maryland and they passed that stupid integrated safety law that cz and ruger decided not to comply with. so before the end of last year i got a cz 75 and a super redhawk (.454 casull. every time it goes bang - wheee!)

My wife's father gave her one years before we met (Browning .380 BDA).... now she never gets to see it. Her Dad (now my Father-in-Law) GAVE me his old service Glock 22 for Christmas this past year! Finally, I convinced my wife that I needed a small pistol for conceal carry. So I bought my first gun last month.... p-32.
So, I have three, but only paid for one! :D

Never! These words are blasphemous..
Pure blasphemy,I tell you! :p
The first thing that my friends ask me when they come over is, "Buy any new handguns lately?!" :D
The same thing can be said for rifles as well.

I've only got one handgun. 357 revolver. Can shoot it heavy (w/ 357's) or light (w/ 38 spcls) with factory ammo until I finally start reloading. Right now I have no plans for another handgun, but there's always something drawing my interests (right now it's 44 mag). I told myself that I won't get anymore until I can shoot the one I have really well. "Luckily" my pocketbook seems to make sure I'll keep that promise. Love the one I have, don't need another one, but there sure are a lot of nice ones out there. Concealed carry illegal where I live so a six inch 357 is about all I need.

Handguns I've had:
USP40F
Kimber Custom II
Beretta 92G
USP45C
KZ45
P7M8
Right now I have the P7M8, Beretta and USP45C, but am selling the USP45C in a month or two. No point having the rest around.

I have 3. A Glock 17, Beretta 92FS INOX, and a S&W 22a. I love the Glock and Beretta, and got the 22 cause a buddy needed some cash, and was selling it cheap. My wish list contains: Glock 20 (10mm), USP 45, AR-15, and mabye a Sig 220. And the list grows everyday.

Well, how about this - I've got two handguns (that I remember) that I've never actually shot!
They reside in the back of the safe somewhere. Kinda impulse purchases. Someday I really need to dig them out and take 'em on a date to the range.

I had one handgun (Colt Lawman Mk III) for twenty years. But I was just another guy with an unused revolver in my drawer, not really a shooter, certainly not someone "into guns." That phase started, the handgun part of it anyway, three years ago when my girlfriend, who'd lived in Austria, told me about something called a Glock. Huh? Read up on it; hmmm, sounded interesting... The Glock 26 seemed intriguing. I went, I saw, I bought. And the collection began to expand, slowly but surely. Anyway, you all know what happens when the bug strikes...:D

I just got a second handgun, a Kimber Stainless II. That compliments my Ruger MkII nicely. Two guns are definitely better than one, that's for certain. Only reason I have two is that I'm a poor grad. student and I wasn't raised around firearms so I only got the .22 in college. Took me 22 years to get the first and two for the second, so I'm slowly picking up steam!:p

I only have two, a Glock 21 and a 3" SP101 in .357. I'm a fairly practical person in that I don't see them as collectibles, but rather as tools. The G21 usually stays with me wherever I go and the SP101 is the stay at home with the wife gun.
As far as the usefulness of handguns go I feel these two fit "my bill" perfectly.

Variety is the spice of life, they say. I tend to prefer pistols over long arms because I have a carry permit and there's more of a practical application for them.
As for pistols, I simply find too many of them to be beautiful hardware. To take a page from Skunkabilly, I've owned:
USP .40 full size (major pangs of regret)
Glock 22 (sold to my best friend so it's not really gone)
Norinco 1911A1 (fun but unremarkable)
Beretta 96FS Centurion (needed money)
Sig 239 9mm (needed money)
Because I needed money but liked the pistols, I eventually replaced the last two when times were better, but swapped calibers. I now own a Beretta 92G Centurion and a Sig 239 .40, plus I'll never get rid of my first pistol, a Beretta 92FS.
So you could argue that I don't "need" both Berettas. As I said, the 92FS isn't going anywhere (for sentimental reasons), and the 92G Centurion covers a few aspects of the former pistol that I thought could use improvements. And since it uses all the same holsters and magazines as the first Beretta, I didn't have to worry about buying them.

Well I only turned 18 last year (legal age here in Aus), so that hasn't left much time to buy a hoard of guns (or accumulate the money to do so! :p ).
So far, i've got a new Gen. III Glock 17. I'm waiting to see what comes about from these stupid new gun laws the government proposing before I buy any more.
If the laws don't end up going through, I have these on my full-size service handgun shopping list to tick off (the list seems to be growing too :D):
Springfield Armory Professional Model 1911-A1 0.45ACP
Kimber Custom TLE (Tactical Law Enforcement) II 1911-A1 0.45ACP
Heckler & Koch Mark 23 0.45ACP
Heckler & Koch USP Tactical 0.45ACP
Glock 21 0.45ACP
Beretta 92FS 9x19mm
SIG-Sauer P-226 9x19mm

2 each .357's
Soon to add a Kimber .45
Need another rifle before hunting season starts.
Want a new bow for tournaments.
Always want more golf clubs.......oops, another expensive hobby of mine.
Oh sorry, my wants far exceeds my needs.
My wants and needs far excede my finances.

I only have one gun! I have only been shooting for about a year and I am still in college, so money is tight. I would like to become proficient (sp?) with one gun. Having 10 different guns around will just throw me off. I think I would only have a need for a primary and back up gun (so 2). Do I want a lot of guns? YES, but as long as money is tight and training is ongoing (always), I will try to get really good with one gun. I do want to have a wide range of plinkers in the future, but for now, I am keeping it simple. Colt 1991A1!!! :D
p.s. looking for my next purchase though :D (Probably a Sig 225, 239, or S&W 3913TSW in 9mm).

I own only two handguns, both full-size belt guns: a 4" .357 Model 65 S&W and a Beretta 92FS 9mm.
Why? Because as far as I'm concerned, that's good enough for me; and between them I can use all 3 of the really most common centerfire handgun cartridges: .38 SPL, .357 Magnum and 9mm. Anybody who sells handgun ammo anywhere will have something to feed these babies. And I can get a .22 conversion for the 9mm.
Also, they're dead common sidearms-- it's easy to get information/parts.
Additionally, these are the same nominal "caliber"-- they both take the same size patches, plugs, brushes, etc. The bare minimum cleaning materials for both will fit in a large folding knife sheath.

Don't ask anybody here (http://www.thehighroad.org/printthread.php?s=&threadid=13854).
I could easily get by with one (primary carry gun), would like to have two (throw in my .22), but prefer to have a variety.

I have more than one and less than 100 so more than I need but less than I want.
Like most that have several handguns, I only routinely shoot about 4 or 5 of them.

OK, I guess I'm one of the "freaks" here - or maybe just a "late bloomer". I only had ONE (1) for the last 15 years - an old Colt "Official Police" .38 Special revolver that I picked up in a pawn shop for under $100. Bought it in 1987 for home protection shortly after getting married and moving way out into a very rural area. Put 50 rounds through it, cleaned it, and tossed it in a drawer. It rarely saw the light of day after that. Occasionally I'd pull it out, pop a few rounds off, clean & lube it, and back in the drawer it went. Last fall, I started thinking about getting a small conceilable semi-auto pistol and maybe getting a CCW permit. I thought about trading in the old Colt, so I looked around the internet to see if anyone could tell me what it was worth. I found the TFL website - and everyone there was VERY friendly and helpful. To my surprise and delight, I discovered that my "old Colt" was MUCH older and much more valuable than I imagined. Turns out it was made in 1941 - and is apparently worth several times what I paid for it. It's still very tight and in very good condition. Anyway, after learning that, I didn't want to part with it - and all that excitement left me wanting a new pistol even more. Long(er) story short, after changing my mind about a dozen times about what to buy, I finally ended up with a new Springfield XD-9 4" Service Model in Bi-tone" finish about a month ago. I've got 300 rounds through it so far (without the first hint of a problem) and hoping to hit the range again this weekend. I LOVE it - and I'm already starting to think about which gun to buy next! ;) Is there any hope for me? :D

As far as handguns go, I only have my CZ75. I really don't see a reason to get another pistol or revolver, as the one I have fulfills all of my perceived needs.
I do have several rifles and a 12 gauge so I am not a complete loser!:D
