Binocular carry options

What's a good binocular strap to use to keep the #$%#$^@ things from banging against my chest when I'm moving around?

Sometimes I'm tempted just to velcro 'em to my jacket, but typically I end up putting them in a backpack--so they're right where I can't reach them when I need them.

Any suggestions? I've seen the harness-type gizmos advertised--do they work?

Thanks!

Watch a few African hunting videos and you'll see quite a few proffesional hunters wearing the binos' strap accoss the chest with the binocular under the left arm, in the position that a pistol in a holster will.

It works good.Or if you had to have them up front, then put two pieces of Velcro accross to each other on your hunting jacket, match a piece of material with female Vecros and you have your removable retention strap.
