What are some recomendations for this type of weapon?

I've been searching around and I have started to lean towards Benelli. Either the Nova for a pump or the M1 for an autoloader. Of course both outfitted with pistol grip, 20" or less barrel, and mag extensions.

What everyones opinion on this?

Andy

This should really be posted in the shotgun section, and I'm betting a mod will do so shortly...

Be aware that the buttstock on the Nova is molded as part of the receiver. It's all one big piece of plastic, with some metal embedded in the receiver end. No way to outfit it with a pistol grip, unless you get creative with a hacksaw and some epoxy :)

I have a M1 and love it. I dont know why you would want a pistol grip though unless you mean a stock with a pistol grip also. 1100's are nice also an a lot cheaper to get parts for.

Pick the shotty that fits you the best. As a rule there really isn't a lick of quality/get the job done difference between any of the big players.
Remington
Mossberg
Benelli
Beretta
Ithica
Winchester/FN
Etc.

They all have there strong and weak points but none of them are turkeys in any sense. It really comes done to personal preferance and feel.

I like Remington 870s very much for pump guns and I like Benelli/Beretta autoloaders like the M1S90 or 1201.

We own two 870s, a Benelli Nova and the Beretta 1201(Read early verson of the Benelli M1S90) and they are all stellar shotguns. The Remington 870s are my personal go to guns though.

Like Dave says BA/UU/R. Basically buy one Buy Ammo, Use Up, Repeat. Practice, practice, practice.
