Found this link in an anti war article...they were obviously proud to be affiliated with these brainless civil disobedience activists.

Treehuggers infuriate me with their attack on private property rights. And then they have the guts to complain about the methods used to get them down. Idiots! :cuss:

Treehuggers. SUV haters. Anti gun nuts. Anti fur wearing crowd. Greenpeace. The whole crowd are simple thieves. That is, they simply want to control what they do not own.

Treehuggers-want to save a tree? Take up a collection and buy it! Then you can do with it as you wish. All the rest can do the same. Want MY guns off the street? Sure. Buy them all. At MY prices-what they are worth to ME.

Nah, too 'logical' for them. They had rather just raise cain and try to intimidate others to do their bidding without doing anything productive.

Heh. That's one reason I've always admired the Nature Conservacy, because that was their original plan.

Of course, owning a tree doesn't mean you can do with it what you wish -- ask any of the farmers around here for an earful about that.

I work part time at a Christmas tree farm, and was stunned to discover that my boss had to purchase permits in order to harvest the trees she cultured, grafted or planted, fertilized, weeded, pruned, and worried over. Why should some bureaucrat get given a chunk of money so that she could harvest her own trees?

Funnier still are the bumper stickers urging people to buy living Christmas trees, so as not to harm the environment by cutting down a tree. *blink* Christmas trees are grown in fields just like corn or wheat, and harvested when mature just like oats or soybeans. No one is out there urging folks not to cut down the mature corn plants, so why make a ruckus about mature fir tree plants?

Now Pax, you know those aren't mature fir trees. They're lil' infants for goodness sake! It's for the chirren, of course. :D

Just an observation.
Many don't mind harvesting certain plants...for recreational purposes...

I don't know where the tree-huggers and such come from, but I can relate their basic makeup...

They result from the breeding of Morally, ethically and intellectually bankrupt parasites with Morally, ethically and intellectually bankrupt leaches.:cuss: :cuss: :cuss: :cuss:

These people are all megalomaniacs with a messianic delusion. They feel important by "saving" something rather than actually doing anything (such as working for a living.) They get to play messiah ("Look at me! I'm saving this poor defenseless tree from those evil people!") and it feeds their ego.

I've never understood whether leftists are born stupid, or go to school for it.

Where do these fools come from?!

Defective genes of course.
Maybe the Eugenics movement wasn't such a bad idea. ;)
