"US Flag Poll (yes, poll -- not pole)" !

I travel about 500 miles a week in a four state area.
Right after 9/11/01, about 50% of the vehicles I observed had either an actual US Flag or a US Flag sticker on them.
Today, my informal survey showed that only about 10% had a US Flag on them.
:fire: :fire: :fire:
We are in the middle of a war, and only about 1 in 10 vehicles have a US Flag on them?
How can this be!
In fact, about 20% of the vehicles I saw had a flag on them OTHER than the US Flag (i.e. Mexico, Puerto Rico, etc.).
This is why I set-up this US Flag poll.
:what: :what: :what:
Me?
I have 3 US Flags always on public display -- on my house, on my car and I wear a US Flag lapel pin.
Just my 2 cents...

I inherited the flag my father flew at his house. It's now a permanent fixture at mine :D

If you've got to wave a piece of cloth to feel you love your country, your love's not real deep.

I first put a flag up at my house during Desert Storm.
Following that on Veterans Day, Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, etc a flag has been flying.
On 9/11 it went up again and has been up ever since.
I don't see it coming down anytime soon, as in decades.
I love my country deeply and the United States Flag is more than a piece of cloth to me.
It is a symbol of everything we stand for and a rememberance of everyone who has died defending this country and her flag.
It is not the quantity of flags, but the quality of the person that matters most.

I put a U.S. Flag on a pole outside my house the week after 9/11. I put a magnetic flag centered on my F-150 tail gate, several on windows and always wear lapel flag pin. I suppose I don't HAVE to fly Old Glory, but it just makes me feel really good and if someone were to criticize me, they will regret it; no one has yet! Maybe it has something to do with the NRA stickers on my house and truck, I dunno.:D

{TEASING}
One flag on a vehicle says "I'm a patriot."
Two flags on a vehicle says "I'm in a parade."
Three or more flags on a vehicle says "I'm compensating for something."

About the time the flag decal on my jeep began to crumble from age, I got a Springfield XD-40. Lo and behold, a nice BIG flag decal with "Springfield Armory" lettered on the bottom (but not on the flag; the lettering is separate) came inside the box. Put that on the jeep. I display it not only because it's MY flag (it is OUR flag), but to show pride in being American. I kid you not, the day the towers were hit on 9/11, the local "activists" had already printed stickers that say "Peace Please" just a couple HOURS after the attack. The towers had just fallen and these bums were already clamoring for "non-violence." THAT DAY, while the towers were still burning, they held a "prayer circle" in the park to pray for "forgiveness and non-violence" for the terrorists and pray that the U.S doesn't use war as a solution. It was nauseating. The place where I work, the enviro-wackos were worried more that we'd now drill for oil in ANWAR than thousands of their dead fellow Americans.
I fly the flag to not only show my pride, but to show that Americans still live here. What does the flag mean to me? Well, if you're an American and I have to explain that to you, you'll never understand.

One large cloth flag and one small reflective enamel flag.
And I think our Geo Tracker backup backup vehicle has a small flag on each window as well.
A local organization is giving away 'Support Our Troops' campaign signs and I plan on picking one up tomorrow as well.

Big flagpole and small flagpole at house. Big yardarm and small flagpole at cottage/shop. Tiny flags on each mailbox. Flag decal on truck & Leatherness"s Bronco. "Colors" in van pool van. I can't think of any more places that need one, but I've got a couple of backups just in case I do. :D
To me, the flag symbolizes everything good and not so good about my country, and I'm proud of it.

After 9-11 I put a flag on the stock of my hunting gun. It seemed a better place than on my car.

None. I really don't have an appropriate place. I don't want to put one on my car and I have a poor college kid apartment so a flagpole is non-existent. BUT, I plan on having a nice flagpole once I get my first Casa de Flory. I'll probably fly the flag at the top with a Gadsen right below that.
