I rented a 617 today and was generally pleased with it however I ran into what I hope is an isolated problem due to this being a rental gun. After about 40rds, the ejector rod became really hard to push in to pop out the empties. I really had to push down on it. Perhaps it just needed oil or something, or is this common? Or could it be related to the fact that I was shooting cylinder after cylinder for about 300 rounds with most breaks just long enough to reload, ie a heat/metal expanding issue? Please advise.

Could be that the cylinder was getting pretty dirty and that the cases were
starting to stick.
