Anyone used this / have it currently stockpiled for SHTF? I'm in houston right now and need to get some good SHTF ammo for the future. From what I've heard it goes bang all the time, is completely waterproof, and is loaded hot.
Dream SHTF ammo?

Works well for me. My hunch is that IMI takes their ammo quality pretty seriously...

Are you talking about the TZZ ammo? I shot a season of Action Shooting with it and it worked awesome.

The US government has been buying IMI ammo for years. Back in the days when the M1911A1 was being phased out and .45 acp was scarce in the supply system, we were issued IMI ammo for our 1911A1s. This would have been around 1994.

I've shot several hundred rounds of IMI ammo (.50Ae ) and never had any problems.

I have a supply of IMI .45ACP.
Darned good ammo. It is on the warm side, the 230 ball chronys at a little over 900fps out of a 5-inch 1911.
I've never had any problem at all with it. And I do agree... it's my guess as well that Israel takes their ammunition seriously.
You won't go wrong with this stuff. :)

I really like The 45ACP 230 gr. I have gone through a case and it has been accurate and consistent. If you find a good source, let me know because my local dealer that carried it is out of business

I'm on my Air Guard unit's shooting team. All the .45 pistol ammo I get is IMI, both 230 gr. FMJ and 185 match SWC. It's pretty good stuff. Not sure about the brand of the 9mm as I don't shoot that much.
