Pressure sensor for weapon mounted light

Why are they options? Isn't a frame mounted light more practical w/ the pressure switch vs. constant on?

User preference seems to be the deciding factor. I like the pressure switch, many who have a tremendous amount of respect full prefer the rocker.

I like the pressure switch on my M3 because if I have to I can light up an area and release the button and move to another location if I have to without the bad guys following the light. If I ever felt comfortable with the light constantly on I'd just flip on the room lights. (If I was inside that is).

I like the Surefire for my USP 45 but after adding the pressure switch I'm w/in reach of the UTL:scrutiny:
