Due to a scheduling snafu I ended up southside San Antonio
cruising around the barrio this afternoon.

I was hitting all the pawnshops looking for deals.

After a few twists and turns I see a big sign GUNS[COLOR=blue]

I started to get exited because I had to pass through a secure gate with cameras to get into the parking lot.

The owner buzzed me in through a door then again through another. ( can trap bad guys in a small enclosed area it seems)

Upon entering all I saw were rows and rows of AK variants.

SKS of all types, .308 heavy barrel sniper rifles

several 50 caliber single shots. a couple Barrets

Case after case dozens of colt, ruger, smith, taurus revolvers new and used.

Looking up I saw hundreds of shotguns and rifles and flat display cases with scopes ranging from $3.00 to $1850. nightvision equipment ammo etc...

This place was paradise. The prices were a little steep but since it was a pawnshop I think haggling is expected.

Ended up picking up a new stock for my 10/22

Are there places like this in other towns?

I've never seen anything like it.

hmmm...yes, a name please...Maybe I should make a trip to san antone to visit my aunt who has been bugging me to come down. How were their SKS and AK prices?

The prices were so so but since its a pawnshop they knock off 20% if you ask.

I was impressed with the selection most of all.

I need to go back when I can spend more time and drool all over the things I can't afford.
