AW Ban

So... I've been wondering. What happens when the AW ban expires? Will there be a gap in which weapons of war like AK-47s UZIs and Streetsweepers will begin flooding our streets again, as the weapons of choice for drug dealers and gang members , or will the the ban just automatically renew if the president signs it. I'm wondering because we might move to Oregon next year, making me free to buy that evil assault machinegun I'm looking at. :D
What do you think?

The ban ceases to exist on Sept. 13, 2004. To continue a ban, congress will have to write a complete new ban and the President sign it into law. Hopefully, since this occurs right before a presidential election, there will be no new AW ban.
Unfortunately, ATF classified the StreetSweeper as a DD. Probably won't be more of them. Everything else is legal again.

all of our congress critters need to hear from us. This is too important to leave to chance. As one on this board said one letter every 3 months!
