Any problems or positive things to say about this revolver? Was thinking about getting this or a GP100, but decided to wait for a used deal for a GP100, since I have passed a couple up before.

I've got one and absolutely love it. The sights are great -- white outline rear and orange ramp front for crisp sight picture. Mine has a good trigger. Finish is nice, and the groups I get are very impressive. I'm still up in the air over the ported barrel. Love the 7-shot cylinder. Only downside I've found is that the rubber grips have a tendency to "grab" at a concealing garment and aftermarket grips seem a tad scarce.

I have the steel tracker in 41 magnum. It is one of my favorite guns and a nice one to have on the trail. I would like to get a .357, perhaps the titanium model. I know a lot of people have had bad luck with Taurus, but my tracker has a sweet trigger, and the tightest, I mean TIGHTEST lockup on ANY revolver I have ever handled...except MAYBE for a Freedom Arms... ok ok, so the FA is a little tighter :D

My wife has a 627SS 4", loves it. The sights are nice, but the 'red' insert in the front is just sticky tape and the white outline on the rear is paint..so they will come off unless you are very careful when cleaning.
But, it's a great shooter...

Thanks for the heads up, but I am probably going to pick up the 4 inch barrel. And after shipping and the transfer fee, the new, new one will cost only $15 more here.
My last couple of purchases have been used, LNIB, type. It's time for that new gun smell again! Thanks again though, and good luck.
And good luck finding the guns after you have sold them and want them back! :D

Most of the complaints people have had with the Taurii wheelguns seem to involve the TI and/or aluminum variants. Complaints about the SS guns aren't very common.
I think the GP100 is a better gun, but...

I like the GP100 too, but it's easy to find used for real cheap...
I like the idea of if I need to fire near me, the GP100 won't blow massive amounts of gasses or anything at me since it doesn't have ports!
Once I complete my main list, I will look for a GP100. Only a few more... hehe.
