Who'd win in a gunfight at 10 yards distance standing in the middle of "Main Street" at high noon?

Wyatt Earp was a real character about whom many of the stories aren't that far from the truth. In all those very real gunfights, he was never shot.

10 yards? Will they be fist fighting or knife fighting?

My Dad said he had read some stuff such that Wyatt Earp preferred shooting at a distance. Who knows.

Of course the Rifleman, especially today. With the politically correct crowd, would it be allowable to have a single parent die? What would the Rifelman's son Mark do then, there was no welfare system for him to get lost in.

Good point! Also consider though, the Rifleman was a TV character. These days on TV most fathers are incompetant, bumbling oafs who's children are much more intelligent they are.
Mark would have had to save his father from certain death.
