Why? :D Just joking, I'm sure it will be a nice gun. I'm not really a Glock person though I have two. I like the 34 and 35 concept but I really would like to have one of the even longer 17L's or a 24.

well, if I wanted to use it for IDPA, the 17L wont fit the box.

Its just going to be a range gun for now, but eventually I'd like to compete.

Pretty much THE SSP gun around here. Cheap to shoot, reliable...

Go to Glocktalk and learn about the .25 trigger job, get some Wolff springs (assuming it's just a 'toy' gun, not your life-saver) and have fun. Might think about some Dawson sights down the line, too, for IDPA.

My 34 exhibited a number of malfunctions during the first 300 rounds. I do not know whether they were attributable to the shooter or the gun -- but they were frustrating :)

I've seen anecdotal evidence of similar experiences on the gunboards with that particurlar model - but the experience is by no means universal, and it always seems to clear up.

After about round 300, the issue in my gun disappeared, and it has not had a (non-user induced) malfunction in roughly 12,300 rounds.

I've had one for about a month or so. Really like it. My fav Glock. I no longer shoot low and to the left because of the lighter trigger pull.

I want one. Just can't seem to get over the sticker shock. I can get a 17 for $489. Large frame (.45 & 10mm) run $509. Everytime I see a 34 for sale the price is something like $650 (or higher). The same shop that had the $489 & $509 prices had one G34 priced at $569. Didn't even get a chance to get down to the shop (owner didn't know I wanted it). I'd like to get one and have Bomar rears mounted (properly).
