Hi all,
I just picked up an older Marlin .22 rifle with a Bushnell Banner 3X9 made in Japan. It has the same size objective as a Nikon scope I recently bought, but the Bushnell scope is clearer and brighter than the Nikon. Are the Japanese Banners a step up from the present-day Banners?

Bushell, Tasco, Redfield, and I heard BSA, and maybe others are owned by Meade Corporation, out of St Louis.....The newer scopes have been upgraded in Glass and quality. Just don't get their bottom line scopes....
I think they are a great value, not the best, but for the price, a good deal if you can't afford a better scope.
