How can I fire my S & W 9ve?

I bought a new S & W 9VE eight months ago, but the trigger is difficult to control.

Sometimes I have to pull trigger slightly once or twice, then
I can fire. I know there is a safety device built into the trigger.
I checked the instruction book, it says
“After firing you must allow the trigger to move forward fully before you can fire another shot. Failure to do so will prevent the lockwork from full fully cycling and Will prevent your being able to fire the next shot. Keep your finger off the trigger and outside the trigger guard until you are ready to fire again”.
But my question is even I keep my finger off the trigger, when I fire again, Sometimes I still need to pull trigger slightly once or twice to be able to fire (not 100% work).
I believe that I have not found correct way to shoot this gun way I did.
I still like this gun but I want to know how I can fire this kind of trigger more efficiently. Any suggestion will be appreciated.

Hmmmm......

This sounds like it needs some attention from S&W, as in warranty work. If the fire control group acts as you described, something is definitely out of order.

Yes, definately contact S&W customer service. I've done it several times and they have been very helpful. That gun doesn't sound safe. Call.

I have that exact model.
It needs work and I would consider it unsafe untill the work is done.
But then...thats just my opinion.

Do you find this gun's trigger is too heavy and too long?
