ok, you may beat me about the head and shoulders if it will help...

about 7-8 years ago i bought a marlin 336 cs. i shoot it very little, but figured i should knock the dust off it, and in so thinking, i figured it was time to clean the thing... of course, i have no manual nor any clue how to take it apart.

it is a new gun, and i think i am the first owner. any on-line assistance for where to find a manual or something so i can take it apart? would be nice if the instructions went far enough to show how the trigger operates - i'd like to clean the trigger up a bit, and if that fails, i want to replace it w/ a wild west trigger...

I don't know if there is a manual on-line, but you can write for one. See:

I plead ignorance as to what a "wild west" trigger is.

GOTO http://stevespages.com/page7b.htm for manual . If you are not really mechanically inclined just spray out the trigger assembly with one of the aerosol crud sprays then use a spray oil. If you are really mechanically inclined goto http://marauder.homestead.com/Rifles.html use the info on " tuning the MARLIN 94" THEY SAY IT WORKS FOR THE 336.
