I have 2 saigas with pistol grips just like an AK. does anyone know why you never see them like that on the saiga web sites? I bought mine new that way for 350 bucks a piece and i have never seen any more like them. they all have sporting style stocks

Yours got converted to non-sporting with the addition of the US FCG and furniture. Importing non-sporting saigas woudl be illegal under 922(r) because they are all russian parts.
Mine was 195 bucks new. Since most conversions run about 200 bucks or so, you got a pretty good deal.

Any word on price yet? Dunhams sold the 7.62X39 for $199 to $229 (depending on whether or not they were on sale).
I hope they haven't gone up too much if at all.

The saigas have always been a great starting point for someone who wants to build their own rifle but doesnt want to do it from scratch. I notice they are making autoloaders in 30-06 as well now. If there were high caps for it, it might make a decent modern-day garand.
If I can get a bunch of 8 rders for a decent price, I'll begin on my de-sporterization project.

Can you order those 30 rounder Saiga mags? I didnt think they were legal for the US, but there is nothing saying you can't...

If they get 8 round 12ga mags then I'll get a saiga 12 when they hit the US, but as long as mags are as expensive as they are now, no way.

My company (www.fbmginc.com) has signed up as a Saiga distributor. We should have some from Russian American Armory next month. I've got the prices up on our page. I don't know about 8 round shotgun mags yet.

Correia, will your company also be handling the LOS rifles on the RAAC website? Those looked interesting.

I haven't checked them out yet, and I wasn't planning on ordering any. But if you want one, let me know.
