Has anyone tried or is now using the Galco NSAII IWB holster?

I ask, as it looks like it may be a decent design and offer fairly "low to the belt line" carry that I prefer.

Thanks for any feedback!

I have not tried the NSA II but I did have an NSA for my Sig 229. I loved that holster. In fact I had to search long and hard to find a replacement when galco had a brain fart and stopped making them. I have found a few guys who make the design and to me it is one of the best designed IWBs on the market. Mitch Rosen makes one and so does Josh Bulman. AKJ makes a similar model and Mark Waldon makes one but only for about two guns.
All that being said I have not tried the NAS II. I have some misgivings mainly about the lack of a reinforced band to keep the holster open like the origianl had. I also am concerned about the use of a hook instead of a loop. I have several blade techs with hooks and if you don't place them between belt loops the tend to slide off the belt.

I use a n NSA II to carry my USPc almost daily, I love the holster:D

The only thing that sucks about it is that it is somewhat difficult to reholster quickly:(

Nvrquit,

I have a brand new NSA II, made for the Officers and smaller 1911's, which I would like to sell. It is new condition and I will sell it for $40. I pay the shipping. It is a very nice holster but not what I thought I needed. If you are intereted, send me an email at docbones@wt.net.

Docbones,

I don't own any pistol that could make use of that holster fit type. I do appreciate the offer however and hope that you find someone that you can do the deal with.

Thanks to everyone for the feedback to date!

Holster fit is a very subjective thing. I have an NSA I. It's well made, but for daily use, I find the angle of the rake too far from vertical for my preferences.

I've been carrying my G19 in a Galco Royal Guard for years (5+) and love it!

It's a bit thicker than some others, but made from super-durable horsehide with steel band to keep the mouth of the holster open.

I carry it year round in the 4:00 position and have found no better solution.

They are pretty expensive ($100) retail, but I've seen them on-line for +/- $70.

G19NDE,

Tried a friends Royal Guard with a Beretta 92FS. To describe what I felt about the fit for me is"it just didn't feel quite right". Nice holster, molded to the 92FS well and no doubt about the quality of wotk/finish. It just didn't feel quite right for me.

As Mute posted, holster fit for every individual is so subjective. Perhaps that would explain why a number of pistol owners end up with a box of holsters.
