What is your list of the top 5 most manufactured ammo available in the states?
Let's assume that 9mm is the top of the list in Europe (and elsewhere), and just limit this list to the USA....

.22LR is surely #1. I would guess that .38 Sp, 9mm and .45 are up pretty high also.

Looking at ammo prices, and thinking about militay rounds.... I would have to say
#1. 22lr
#2. 5.56mm - (.223)
#3. 9mm.. .. Maybe tied for 2nd with the .223
#4? .40S&W Costs less than .45 or .38
#5? .38sp Costs Less than .45
