Ourlocal retailer is selling new 870 Express, 12ga or 20ga, at $237. This is their "sale" price for the week.

Is it worth getting at that price?

If it is anything other than the standard 28" vent-rib, rem choke, 3" Express Magnum then its a fair price.

Otherwise (I hate to do this :( ) check some of the large chain stores like Dicks Sporting Goods, Big 5, Gander Mountain, Dunhams... They usually sell the "base model" for $199 - $219.

If $237 sounds fair to you and keeps you in the good graces of your local, privately owned gunshop, buy it. Especially if its worth $30 to you to keep the local guy from going out of business 'cause walmart is selling in bulk.

Not the best price, but I wouldn't feel ripped off at $240. Academy here usually has them for ~220, and when they go on sale they get down to $197, but that's in Austin. When I was in college in Virginia my buddy searched for a week and the cheapest he could find was a used one for $235.
