I was under the impression ghost ring sights work when you are close to the rear sight, as with a shotgun. Having a handgun being held at arms length seems like it would defeat that function.

Not sure but more pistol shooters are starting to incorporate them. In a recent gun rag, they tested a pair of XD's equipped with ghost sights. On another forum, a guy custom fitted a pair of ghost sights onto his Steyr. So it seems like they can work for pistols. I like ghost sights myself as I am cross-dominant and ghost sights are more accurate (only used them on long guns though, of course).

I used a guys para-14 with ghost sights the other day with red front fiber, and it was great for rapid shooting for acquiring the target.... what else is good to use with fiber?
