I know how the USP is only comfertable for those with large hands. How large are we talking about? Can someone give me an object you can compare the handle to?

It isn't that bad. And I don't think they are only comfortable to big handed people, as I know some average size people who use USPs just fine.

Being subjective here:
Smaller than a Glock 21, little bigger than a polymer Kimber. About as wide as a Beretta 92 or 96, but a little longer.

Standard USP is a good deal bigger in the butt than the compact. My USP-f .45 was accurate, reliable, and probably durable. But it had too big a grip and a tough trigger pull.

Yes, you're right. I want to improve trigger pull on my baby.

I'm a shooter with average-size hands, and a USP owner. While the pistol grip is large, by no means is it uncomfortable. Correia said it best - the grip is the right shape, but a bit long. Still, I wouldn't say there's any danger of it flying out of, or hurting the hands of, a shooter with regular mitts.

I cannot properly grip CZs because their trigger is too far forward for me to reach.
However, I can grip my USP 9 just fine, and I don't have very large hands.

IMO, the USP handle is not uncomfortably wide... What is uncomfortably wide is the rearmost end of the pistol. If you have average sized hands, with a decent thumb-index finger distance, then you should be okay. Otherwise, your fingers may be short enough to make you shift your grip and get your thumb banged up by the back of the frame during recoil.

I'll post pics of my USP and a few other guns for comparison later.

I'm an average sized guy. 5'10" and 225lbs. My USP9F fits like a glove. DA trigger is long and heavy, but smooth. The SA pull is very short, light and smooth. Also have a CZ SP-01 from Angus Hobdall. Grip is a little shorter front to back. Trigger suks in comparison. DA is very long, very heavy, and very gritty. SA is creapy, heavy, and gritty. Even after a thousand rounds. Both are completely reliable. Look how many competative shooters are shooting Glocks. Big grips are only a problem if you make them a problem.

Okay, I figured everybody's wrapped their mitts around a Glock at one point in time, so here goes... USP9 vs G19

The roughest part of the USP for me is the part that's supposed to cross the web of your hand...if you have big ass hands. If you're like me, shooting this baby will hurt your thumb if you shift to get an good purchase on the (SA) trigger. Don't even mention DA.
