Has anyone signed up for a subscription to this new magazine/association? It's $40/yrly and you get 8 magazines/yrly. I saw the ad in this month's Am. Rifleman. (www.uscca.us) US Concelaed Carry Assoc.

Seemed kinda pricey to me.

Never said this about Playboy....but....how are the articles??

Any early feedback?

I subscribed to the magazine, but I do not belong to the organization.
Pretty good magazine though.

Our esteemed host has shot photos for magazine -- including the cover - and several members have contributed articles.

The price remains a little steep for me. Isn't that what ad revenue is for?

They seem to want to be profitable from day one, where magazines traditionally take a hit while they build circulation.

fairly good pieces, although many seem geared twords newbies. Price doesn't bother me all that much: I'd imagine it'll come down as they get more ads...

Been with Concealed Carry mag' since issue #1 and a ways back added the small sub to USCCA. Even got to take a cover pic for October issue :)

This mag is young yet - but has developed in large leaps and bounds. Advertising revenue helps any mag but as this is still in early days it has to grow.

It is as yet according to Tim Schmidt the editor - not cost effective to get it on the news stands - so it's sub' and mail only right now.

I realize it is relatively expensive but anyone's support will all help to make this get bigger and better and personally I really want it to survive - and the USCCA itself too would be a valuable body once it grows - it will only do that if folks sign up.

This is all RKBA stuff folks - we need all the strength we can muster. I hope others will sign up and help the cause - and they'll get a good read too.

I'm still waiting to see it in the magazine section of my grocery.

I like Concealed Carry magazine enough to be a long-term subscriber and an occasional contributor. The magazine is not just another Marketing Rag with articles in between. It's a user-friendly and practical vehicle that I hope will continue to grow over time. We should support it by subscribing.

Heh... I got an email from 'em, wanting to do the "ccw profile" thing. Told 'em it probably wouldn't be a good idea, since a)there's no CCW in WI and b)someone who is usually either in bikerwear or a kilt wouldn't be their best image. Never heard back again...
