Do any of you have this one or know of someone who owns one.
I've been interested in one for some time. Looking to mod it a little as well
with a surefire light, red-dot sight and different stock. The only practical use seems likely to be for HD. It's just a nice looker to me, but kinda pricey...
Any opinions on it?

I love it. I'm slowly modifying it, and this pix is before I added a slip-on recoil pad. Recoil to me is light.

It's a re-badged, tricked-out Winchester pump-action shotgun. Nice, and worth buying, particularly at fire-sale prices (CDNN has some at very low cost, IIRC).

Very nice. Does the front sight get in the way of your Halo sight, being on the same plane?

I have one. I got the conventional synthetic stock model from CDNN, great price. It is literally a Winchester 1300, slightly tricked out. For a low priced gun probably cannot beat it. Probably can't beat it for a regular HD or service shotgun at any price lower that a real Remington police 870. At aboutnhalf that you get a good gun, ready to go out of the box. I believe that CDNN is now giving away a extra stock with each sale.

But the price for the FN Tactical Police TPS at CDNN is 600

I have this same one. Love it and looks pretty sweet! I'd just like to find a light for it....anyone know anywhere I can get one?

A recoil pad sure would help if you're gonna fire any 3" Mag. 00 or slugs!!

The front sight doesn't get in the way of the C More red dot that the shotgun came with. Can't beat the price!

According to Surefire the Winchester Defender with long tube would work with the FN

is the shotgun they have for sale at CDNN the same as Brentwal's which he has pictured up above? Can I just replace the stock and add a grip handle. It seems pretty cheap at $269 compared to $700 which my local gunshop is charging...how could they up charge that much

brentwal, does the slip-on recoil pad make a difference? What other mods are you adding?

How does it compare to a 870 or 590?

Yes it does. I plan on adding on lighted fore end and a sidesaddle.

brentwal, thanks for the info. Do you have pics of your FN TPS with the slip-on recoil pad, lighted fore end and sidesaddle?

Is it really worth it to pay $300 - $400 more for the FN Tactical Police TPS shotgun compared to the regular FN shotgun?
