OK, I'm in the middle on this;

As I just heard CNN (in England) get an "expert" on the chair; to talk about her "analysis" of the war.

<barf suit on>

She said that she feels that Blair will not back down unless Bush backs down; and that the best thing for Bush to do right now is call back all the troops, and try to save (what little remains of his dignity) and so that Blair can follow suit; as they [Bush Blair] are in for a serious embarrassment by the Iraqi soldiers.

<Insert clean shower, and decontamination here>

Ok... First, I don't know who she was, her title was obscured by the chinese subtitle here in Taiwan; but I'm sorry.. I had to clean out the ear wax to hear this one.

She felt the best action was the recall the troops, have a 100% withdraw from Iraq, and that will save the world..

Of course, (Live from New York) one of the analysists was saying that Bush was a hypocrite because the US use to support Saddam when the Iraq/Iran war was going on..

I'm not Britain bashing; as our shining example of the media is just as ugly... But this is rediculous! Of course, being that it was broadcasted on CNN; I am not surprised; but can someone tell me if the media in England is as bad as CNN??

Is BBC that biased or not??:barf:

the BBC (and other broadcasting organisations) has a duty imposed on it to 'treat subjects of public controversy with due impartiality'. So if anyone feels that they aren't then they should complain. Stations which openly advocate a political viewpoint are illegal here, so you can't just start one to articulate your views.
All the broadcast media here tend to follow a somewhat 'liberal' [in the U.S. sense] agenda as they recruit their people from the ranks of those with that sort of mindset.

two, remember the media's enemy is America. We are all that stands in the way of a worldwide socialist utopia. We are attacking their socialist brothers in Iraq, aren't they going to act in self-defense?

As a rule, all media is rediculous, whatever nationality.

Regardless of political viewpoint, my big gripe is the absolute lack of understanding of the meaning of the various events of the war on the ground. The blow-dry talking-head TV crowd seems to be an example of highly-paid unskilled labor.

Which is why I coined the term, "Mediahcrities".

One of the prime examples is Leslie Stahl...

You know what problem I have Art? If you are going to stick a clueless person in the frontlines, at least pick a pretty one!!

So one of the reporters is talking to a soldier; and he goes:

"Where are you guys, what is your strength in numbers, how many [vehicles] do you have.?"

The soldier looked blankly and said: "I cannot tell you that" (The shock on his face that the reporter actually expects an answer was priceless.) So the soldier replies:

"This is what I can tell you. Where are we? We are somewhere in Iraq. What are our numbers? Less than 300,000, more than 25. How many vehicles do we have rolling with us? Again, less than 300,000, but more than 25. "

The reporter gave a sour face to the answer..

Some of these reporters. Are they REALLY THAT STUPID, or just playing dump on TV?

El Tejon; America isn't the media's enemy... FREE THOUGHT is the enemy. Go ahead, tell me I'm right!!
