Browning BAR question

I'm considering picking up one of the synthetic BAR's in 300WM. How do they compare in felt recoil to a BBR or A-Bolt in .30-06, for example? Does the gas action of the semi-auto soak up some recoil in comparison to a bolt gun? I've never shot a 300WM much less one in a BAR.
Thanks.

yes it does help with recoil a bit.

I've got one in '06 and one in .270, they seem to be a little lighter recoil than my equivalent weight bolt rifles.

Have one in 338 Win Mag. I've put 50 to 100 rounds through it at one time on more than one occassion. Recoil is more of a solid push. The gas action does make a difference.

I have the BAR Stalker in 300 WSM with Boss and in .308 without BOSS. I think that the BOSS further reduces recoil so that the 300 WSM has less felt recoil to me. Criticism of the 300 is 3 round capacty. In it's favor, it really shoots well.
