League of Nations Part II. Except the League of Nations was only incompetent. It wasn't incompetent and corrupt at the same time.

Come on guys lighten up. Sure there are 191 Countries in the U.N.. Sure we pay 20-30% of all finances to keep it going. Sure it is filled with graft, theft, and corruption. I mean REALLY how do you expect these Third World swamp dwelling Presidents to line their pockets with OUR money. :neener: :neener:

Dang! Back when I worked for McDonnell-Douglas in the early '70's UN Day and NATO Day were among our paid holidays, I guess because we sold them so many death machines (F-4's, F-15' etc). It was bout all the UN was good for, even then:neener:

I guess the real question is which Tin Pot Dictator will steal the most cake at the party.:scrutiny:
Lets all celebrate by having a multi flush salute of our U.N. treaty imposed low flow toilets.:barf:

Let's get to work on a "U.N. Deathday" :)

What would be the best strategy for us to dismantle the U.N.? If there was action to take then we'd all would feel much better. Right now, all we can do is hope/complain.

Funny - I was watching an old rerun of M*A*S*H* a few days ago and one of Frank Burns' lines while teaching Koreans English was, "Get the U.S. out of the U.N."

Has the anti-UN sentiment really been that strong for so long? I guess the League of Nations debacle was still fresh in many peoples' minds.

No wonder…I could not figure out why the local town hall is flying the UN flag under the Stars & Stripes. Of course, this local town government is made up of a bunch of one-world, internationalist, elitist liberals who worship the UN and Europe.

I, for one, favor vacating the U.N. HQ building at Turtle Bay and turning it into a shelter for homeless animals displaced by Hurricane Katrina...

......let's see the hippies argue with THAT. :neener:

I'll tone down my opinion so the mods don't ban me for life. I like it here so I'll mince my words. We pay an exorbitant amount of money to support third world dictators who have the seal of of approval and fund an organization that seeks actively to deny us the rights (not just guns) we took for ourselves when we first threw off the rule of a king/secretary general two centuries ago. How will I celebrate? Reloading and remembering that there are many things preferable to enslavement.

I thought flying a flag under your own was supposed to indicate you had conquere them...
