I'm getting back into the wonderful world of fire arms, and wonder if anyone has an opinion on the Saxet Gun Shows? There are 3 more scheduled this year here, and I plan on going to each one.

I'll be buying ammo and looking for a Ruger Mini 14 Rancher Model.

(1) Can you walk out of a gun SHOW with your purchase if you have a CHL..as you can with a gun STORE?

(2) What would be a reasonable price for a "used" Ruger Mini 14 Rancher in "good" condition? Stainless.

(3) What's 1,000 rounds of ammo (9mm / .357..both JHP's) going for?

Yes, you may purchase handguns & long guns at a SAXET show and take them with you. CHL or not.

1) you can ALWAYS walk out with any gun purchase in the great state of TEXAS!!!! A CHL will only waive the need for a NCIS phone call, nice to have incase the system is down!

2) No clue

3) Decent reloaded 45 JHP should go for 8-9/50, so I would expect 9mm to be half that, easy. There isn't much mil-surp 9mm out there, but Blaser can be had for $3-5/50 with reloadable stuff not much more. There are many ammo vendors there, shop around. If you want to try reloaded stuff, the guy in the back right is my favorite and his 45 FMJ has always worked for me.
