Wierd, usually when sites are down for repair or maintenance, they have little page telling your of their status. Here, it's almost like the site doesn't even exist even more because I can't even get ANYTHING to show up...

If their server went down completely then you won't see anything! Hard drives are usually backed up, but redundent servers can be $$$. They will be back..:)

I couldn't do a nslookup or a DNS lookup for RFC yesterday. Couldn't find the domain name or a IP address for it site. Hopefully this is nothing more than a hardware problem. They had done some major upgrades last July so I don't think that another upgrade would be done without anouncing it.

I was on yesterday evening with no problems but it looks like the site is not available this morning.

It's back up now. Apparently, one of the Admins was out of town when the domain name came up for renewal and he didn't get the renewal in on time. So the hosting service pulled the domain.

They are going to get a 5-year renewal for the name so it shouldn't happen again (assuming they remember in 5 years :scrutiny: :D ).
