Some .357 Magnum Groups

A while back someone asked what kind of groups people could shoot with handguns.
I was using silhouette targets and doing reloading and tap, rack, bang drills at the time so didn't have much group info to report.
Yesterday I shot some slowfire groups yards with my Smith M28 and here's what I got. All shots were fired standing, two handed. The four-inch M28 is stock, except for Pachmayr Presentation grips.

25 yards
Black Hills 125 grain JHPs: six shots in two and three quarter inches with five in one and a half.

Black Hills 158 grain JHPs: six shots in three and a half with two shot touching at the top of the group.

50 feet
Cor-Bon 110 grain JHP .38 Specials.
Five shots in one and three quarter inches.

Double action with my 158 grain LSWCHP reloads.
18 rounds in six and a half inches.
The reloads shoot low in the 28 and six more went off the paper at the bottom somewhere.

Slowfire with the same ammo six shots in four inches with three inside an inch.

Overall I was pleased. The 125 grain Black Hills and the 110 grain Cor-Bon really looked good in the old cop revolver.

Cheater, you are using one of the easiest to shoot and most accurate guns out there:eek: :D :D

All in all with the 'cheater' gun LOL you shoot pretty well, much better than average from what I see.

My double action slow fire groups are actually better than my single action shooting, don't ask me to explain why becuase I really don't understand it myself.

I have a M19 4" that feels like part of my flesh, and I shoot it well. Slowfire DA at 25 yards will result in a 3" group or a little less if I am having a good night. I am happy with 3" because the gun won't do much better than that. DA rapid fire as fast as I can see a 'flash' sight picture doubles or a little more that but all easily stay on a man sized target.

That M28 is a shooter, for sure.
It does often make me look good. :D
