Combo PG and stock?

Hi all.

I have a Mossberg 88, which came with a full stock and a PG only.

I just put the PG-only back on and I *really* like it. I like the shorter length, the way it feels and handles, and I feel like I can get a better, much more sure grip on the gun.

However, it occurred to me last night to look into a combo full stock which also has a pistol grip, incase I have to or want to take better aimed shots. I think this would probably be much more practical.

Those who have them; how do you like them?

Where is a good source for an inexpensive one?

Pros cons?

Thanks!

Hi doc - try cheaper than dirt (http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/) they've got what you want and it's not that expensive either.

Doc, first try a few fast COFs with both your present stock and that PG only atrocity.

The prob with a PG equipped full stock on Mossie products is it's hard to work the safety.

IMO, you'd be better off sinking the price of the new stock into ammo and range fees. Get your fit and form down and BA/UU/R.

Technology is rarely a good substitute for expertise.

BTW, back on TFL,I had a long standing challenge to the PG only tribe.Their COFs, their choice of ammo, their choice of range. COFs shot for score, time decides ties(Though there wouldn't be any).

After a good year and more, no takers. There's a lesson there.

HTH....
