Great news for anybody looking to get a Florida CCW. I just got mine using the electronic fingerprinting and it took 13 days from the day I mailed my paperwork to the day I got the permit in the mail! Sweet!

The above web address will allow you to check and see if your local Sheriff's office does electronic fingerprinting.

A technician creates a digital image of your prints using a scanner, then gives you a copy and a confirmation document.

Cost is $39.00 but some offices charge an additional small fee.

When you're submitting the application for CCW you can include either the photocopy of your scan or the confirmation document along with your application, photograph, training documentation, and check or money order for the licensing fee.

PS: Just did mine the old fashioned way, so we'll see how long it takes.

all the best

My renewal is due soon.

IIRC, fingerprints are no longer required on renewals.

State of Ohio. $45.00 and less than a week. I don't know if that had to do with me just getting my .F.FL. or not. Usually 2 weeks.

Wow that’s pretty good. It was 25 days from the time I filled out the forms at the police station to the time I got my CCW in the mail here in Indiana. I thought that was pretty quick service. Total cost for everything was $ 25.00.

I really need to get on the ball with my FL permit. Sure would be nice adding PA to my range.
