Hey guys, I've been wanting a new stock for my 10/22 carbine for a long while. the Factory synthetic one has too short of an LOP, and is worthless for shooting, except off a bench...trying to shoot prone with it is impossible because I can't shoulder the rifle because fo how the stock is designed.

I would like a woodstock...maybe on of the rifle model 10/22 stocks, if there is a place I can get it for a decent price.

Otherwise what is a nice synthetic stock that I could get...I'd like to avoid the color black.

Also I'd like a stock with an LOP of at least 13.5 inches, and also designed for use with iron sights...so I guess no monte carlo stocks.

Thanks for your help

Hogue

They have an "overmolded" synthetic stock that is very nice. I am 6'1" and I have no issues using it on the bench or standing. It has nice palmswells for extra support and a wide forend.

Several years ago I bought a Fajen wooden stock from Midway. They had a deal with the stock and 16 in. target barrel for $99. I haven't seen that in a long time. I replaced almost every part in the 10/22, except the receiver and bolt and it is very accurate, sweet shooting .22. I used Volquartsen and Power Custom parts.

Check out http://www.staffordsales.com/. Most of the stocks are only for the the large diameter target barrels though so plan on using a scope.
