Alternatives to "SWAT" Garb for civil *unrest*? (HUMOR)

I say "SWAT" 'cuz I think it's about time us civvies had our own personal garb festooned with something other than that nasty SWAT word in big bad block letters.

Let's befuddle the unkempt masses the next time the hurricanes and tornados decide to hit town and we all gather at the only remaining vertical utility pole in the neighborhood fending off the Zombies!

I'll offer the following for starters:

"SWAM" = Special Ways And Means / Seriously Wild And Malicious
"SWAN" = Special Weapons And Neighbors
"SWAP" = Sometimes With A Pistol
"SWAS" = Sometimes Wacko And Sociopathic
"SWAW" = Somethin' Wet and Wild (useful during forays into Hooters for :what: )

Anyway, perhaps a clothing vendor can use a few more ideas from the High Roaders for another hat option in the future, or at the minimum... a bit of levity 'round here! Besides, Oleg could use a new hat don't you think?

Get to it people ;)

I like S.W.A.N. That pretty much sums up everything where I live.

I like SWAN myself. Maybe we'll go with that for our neighborhood watch.;)

"Militia" wasn't good enough?

lets see....

Neighborhood
Civilian
Militia
Family

Armed
Heavy
Action

Response
Defense
Rescue
Support

Rapid
Special
Local
Immediate

Write your own Acronomyn! arrange those four groups in any order, then pick a term out of each! add new terms! bring the whole family!

lets see here...

Civilian Rapid Arms Support: C.R.A.S
Immediate Family Heavy Response: I.F.H.S

Militia armed Heavy Response: M.A.R.H

Frankly, though, I'd reccomend that you just stick with "Militia" its short, easily understood, intimidating to those who don't (or sometimes do) understand it, and you won't be charged with impersonating a police officer. (Unless you are charged.)

for extra clarity, go with "Civilian Militia"

ARMED :Armed Ready Mean Educated Determined.

Still kinda partial to 3S personally.
Shoot, Shovel, Shut up :p

Less letters, less cost for silk screen set up, gets the message across, and ...fits a whole bunch of circumstances...

Always liked "GRIN" , you know like the Rodbchaux said " grin as you emerge from the smoke, drives folks crazy and makes them wonder just what the hell you are gonna do next" <paraphrased>

Just gotta figure out acronym part. Gunowner Ready-Idiots Not
back to the scratchpad...

Oh - needs to be a Earth-tone color, something to blend in and not attract too much attention...

Hunter Green with Gray letters. How about StoneGray with Burlap Brown letters.

BGs are too close when they read the letters...FEMA will figure out soon enough 'these colors don't run".

"Folks down there gots Hunter green jackets and looks like gray letters"
"Oh crap....we best head the opposite direction..."

L.A.R.T. - Local Armed Response Team

(not to be confused with LART, the system administrators' Luser Attitude Readjustment Tool, commonly referred to as a "2X4")

"The Special Hot Interdiction Team has hit the Familiar Area (Neighborhood)."

The Special Hot Interdiction Team is required to have Special High-Intensity Training dumped on it at regular intervals, until thurough familiarity with the Familiar Area Reaction Training and Training Under Reaction and Drill saturation is reached. ;)

LOL, I remember being in the Army and the Drill Sgts used to call us a name that was not insulting because it meant that we were: Dedicated Individuals Conditioned to Kill.

CERT: Citizen's Ememergency Response Team. Hmmm, might be copyrighted, and the TIC TAC team would probably put up some serious competetion with whatever they do.

Fast Action Response Team
LOL! My grandmother used to work for DOC, and I remember her telling me about some kind of specialized team (riot control maybe?) - Fast Action Reponse Team was what they were to be originally called. Once someone put two and two together, they changed their minds on the name.

IIRC they changed it to PERT, have no idea what it stands for. Prison's Emergency Response Team?
