Hello all,
Last week I was the high bidder on a Dan Wesson 744 on Gunbroker.
I sent the Money Order on Saturday, and It was delivered to the sellers FFL on Tuesday and I got the gun on friday.

Thank you rightone5@msn.com and Lakeview Pawn@The Colony, TX for getting the gun to me within the week.

Well I went to shoot my new toy and the barrel nut blew off. :what:
It took me ten minutes to find it but, long story short, the threads on the nut and/or the front of the barrel are bunged a little, so I need a new nut and a wrench to put it on. :banghead:

I checked with all the usual suspects on finding these items(Brownells,Numrich,CZ-USA/Dan Wesson Arms,Popperts,E-Bay) does anybody know of any place else to look? CZ-USA wants $40 plus shipping for the nut and wrench.:banghead:

Try "Jack First Gun Shop"
http://www.jackfirstgun.com/

(605)343-9544 Calling is the easiest / fastest way. The ladies there know their parts.

Is this the revolver? I love the grips.

Uh, could we rephrase that? :D

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Sometimes parts can be found on Alphabet-bay. Don't expect to find a significantly lower price as those combo tools usually aren't cheap.

Wow! That's a beaut. I remember my Dad trading some photography work for a blue Dan Wesson .22 rimfire. Very nice gun.

One of the older gunwriters, maybe Elmer Keith, once wrote that one of the positives of a revolver was that if you had any of it, you had all of it, unlike autos that could easily be taken apart and have pieces mislaid. Oh, how times have changed!

No mine has the 9 1/2 inch barrel.
I have two DW in 357 magnum and I shoot hot load on occation.

When I shot the 44 magnum it came back sharply with very little barrel rise
because it has the full underlug.:what:
