Sorta... My usual homemade solvent/cleaner is equal parts kerosene/mineral spirits/ATF

I generally make up 1 1/2 gallons at a time and store it in a 5 gallon plastic bucket with a lid. When I clean handguns I just toss them in the bucket.

Works great. ATF is a very high quality oil with cleaning capabilities.
