Now that groundhog season is slowly approaching and I've been thinking about a different combination for my rifle to shoot. Its a 700vls in 22-250. Right now I'm shooting 55gr. balistic silver tip from Nosler, its working good with the 4320 powder in 32.2 grs. What are your guys favorite load if you got one. Please share I need some new combos... Thanks all

If you have the time and a place to shoot. Try this. Take a minimum load from the book. Make up 5 rounds at a time adding about .2 grains each time, seal in plastic bags with the load written on the bag with magic marker. Take to the range and shoot, keeping track of the results in a note book.
You will have some loads that make fliers, but you should hit a load or two that gets real tight all of a sudden, your rifle "likes" that load best and will shoot best with it.
It may not be the hottest load in the book, but for your gun it will be the most accurate. Make sure you let the gun cool between shots and wipe the bore between sets, or the results might be off. Remember you will be shooting a cold clean bore when you pull of that first shot in the field.

Another important variable to consider is bullet seating depth, relative to the lands. I usually start @ .005" off the lands and work out.
