The P-35 has a longer history than the 75B. Both are outstanding 9mms.
With the Cee-Zed you get double or single action.

Years ago, i went with the Cz75 as the controls were a bit larger than that
of the Browning which has always felt small in my hands, the 75 is perfect
for me. CZs are also cheaper and some say will last longer with hot loads.

Toss a coin. I shoot my BHP a little better than my CZ. If you are OK with cocked and locked carry, the BHP would be my choice, but if you want DA/SA the CZ is a great choice.

IMHO they are two of the best 9mm platform you could get, but I like the one that my idol JMB designed, so I think you know which one that I liked.

My 2 cents. I have owned a CZ75B and found that it was not the most reliable pistol, failures to feed mostly. Changing the springs helped, but did not totally eliminate the problem. My son had a CZ85, basically the same gun, similar experience. I know there are legions of CZ fans out there, but my experience has been negative, also I did not like the fact that on the SA trigger pull the hammer is slightly cocked before release.

My experience with 3 Hi-Powers (one Argentine FM, one FN and one Browning) and many thousands of shots is different. There was one failure to feed with the FM and that was on the gun's second shot. The trigger pull is not the best in the world, but does improve with use and if you want you can remove the magazine safety for further improvement. The Mark 3 HP also feeds JHP ammo reliability.

I still have my HPs and consider them amongst the best firearms ever made.

Close choices, but since it is a single action and capable of a better trigger pull, the Hi-Power wins, but not by much.

The only 9mm platform that is better is the Swiss made SIG 210, but at 3 grand...who can afford it?

I have an old T model Hi-power, and although finely made, I never warmed to it in 25 years. I have a new P0-1 that I am Definetely warming up to , it is crazy accurate: one hole groups at 15 yards about 1" in dia., slow fire.2" at 25 yards barricade position.Thats better than any 9mm gun I have owned! I don't like the creepy SA pull but found it can be reliably staged on the CZ. My Tangfolio .40 Compact has an EXCELLENT trigger pull DA and SA and is my truck gun. The PO-1 will be a CCW gun.!:)

Either will be more than just sufficient to meet your requirements. My preference leans toward the CZs, but I would not feel at any type of a disadvantage with the HiPower, either. I trust both with my life.

get them both! We have an SFS Mk III (another on the way) and a 75BD and to tell you the truth, I'll have to get a lefty holster and another mag pouch since I want to carry them both at the same time! :p

goes to the CZ. Both may need trigger work. If both fit you, then it is down to versatility. The CZ does C/L fine. It also has a safety that is easier to employ IMHO. It also does DA/SA very well.

CZs in general are way too large for my hands. Hi Powers fit me perfectly.

I've got one of each, and I like the trigger-pull on the Browning better, but the CZ feels so much better in my hand; I've also got a lot of meat on my hands, and my Browning likes to chew the web between my thumb and index finger (spur OR round hammer).

Both are nice guns but IMO the CZ-75 isn't in the true Hi-Power class. FN/BHP for me thank you.

Maybe I will try to mod the magazine safety on my HP MkIIIs first because it is the disappointing character of the HP that I would like changed. With the Mecgar magazines I am able to also get 15 rounds from the HP.

I agree carry wise the HP has the advantage over the CZ75.

I shot an older CZ75 before and was able to hit steel poppers upto 50 yards. Trigger pull was also light altho it had some overpull.
