Besides the Remington Sportsman/Model-11, what other guns were built on the Browning A-5 patent? I think Savage-Stevens built one. Any others?
Thanks in advance,
Larry

IIRC, Beretta used to make one that was quite similar inside to the Browning patent design, but had a semi sloped receiver.
Franchi's excellent AL 48 is also quite similar inside, I'm told.
Many A-5 parts work in the 11, but dunno about the others...

I think that's the Savage 720.

The Franchi AL 48 is based on the Browning design, but I dont think its parts interchange.

One of the guys in our club shoots a cut down Yamato, named after the general or the battleship. It's a high grade A 5 clone from Japan. It works fine.
