Young Guns

Just got back from Parents Weekend at Oberlin College where our son is majoring in something. But he is among a group of other students who are starting a gun club. I went with them to a pistol range for some fun. Very good safety habits as far as I could see. One young woman rented a .357 and did a good job on her target. When they get fully officialized, the college will pick up range time, rentals, ammo.
We rented a Glock in .40 and a Ruger Mk III.
Just thought you all would like to know.

Always a good thing to know there are some college folks fighting the good fight. I hope they get acredation from the college sooner than later.

That's pretty neat. My sister teaches at a small college in Utah and she mentioned that they offer a course in rifle marksmanship the same way other colleges offer electives for stuff like tennis. I kind of wish I spent my college years in Utah. Course credit for shooting sounds like a dream come true.
