I just love seeing photos of revolvers. I'll click on threads I have zero interest in if there is one of those paper clip icons on it.

Let's see some of your guns. Close-ups, multiple-angles, entire collections, before/after restoration shots, grouped-by-caliber pictures, in-the-holster photos... I don't care what it is.

Let's see your revolver photos NOW!

If you enjoyed reading about "The gratuitous REVOLVER PHOTO thread" here in TheHighRoad.org archive, you'll LOVE our community. Come join TheHighRoad.org today for the full version!

Several days ago, I made arangements with another THR member to buy his 2 1/2" 19-5. If the force is with me, it will ship tomorrow. My ffl is the owner of the indoor range I use so I get to pick it up and take it straight into play with (after inspection of course).

Here's (yet another) shot of my 686 I've taken while waiting.

I promise - no more.

S&W 10-5, I believe manufactured ~1971; S&W 64-3, haven't checked the date yet. I think the model 10 would look better with the service grips, but I'm a better shot with these. 158gr standard pressure ammunition, and it's a tack driver. The model 64 is a future carry piece.

Tell us more about Snubzilla! Very nice!My brother has the original Snubzilla, a 3" 625-2 .45ACP purchased new around 1990 with custom work done by the Bill Davis service center. A couple of years later I was offered a M25-2 .45ACP that had been cut down and round butted. The barrel is just under 3" and it had an extra ball detent crane lock facing the ejector shroud. I put it in to the Bill Davis service center for a super tune (With a stock length mainspring strain screw) one of their ball detent crane locks, hammer bob, broken sharp edges, front night site, bead blast and the darkest blue they could manage. The results are what you see in the picture. At ten yards standing double action rapid fire with a Davis grip and Weaver stance this gun will put 230g Hydrashoks into the ten ring all day long. The only change I want to make is to install a good pair of Hogue wood grips but they have to be fitted because it's not a factory roundbutt.

The M65 in the attachment below is the first cousin to the two Snubzillas.

Both of those are outstanding but that 625 takes the checkered flag. Awesome gun. I really need to find one of those. Would make an awesome primary gun and I could back it up with my 66-2 2.5". :)

Puurty! Is that one of the Heritage guns?

Yes it is. The polished blue model. The factory service grips are nice, but the Hogues are more comfortable. The Bantam style lets me keep the lanyard ring in place.

I love revolvers.
Never figured out why they don't have that thing that goes over th
e top of the hand like autos do...
Beings they kick a lot more, you'd think it'd be common sense.

Hmmmm.

I find that the more I shoot revolvers the more about them and their design already make sense.

My baby, the Colt Police Positive Mark V. They only had her in the Colt lineup for one year and now you're more likely to come across a live Tyrannosaurus Rex than one of these blued steel beauties.

Had I only known I would have bought two. :(

Nothing fancy.

-This was my Grandfather's 10-5 he carried for a couple years.
-He gave it to my uncle who carried it for 10 or so years as an amored car driver.
-He gave it to his son, who sold to his neighbor, for beer money in the mid 90's.
-Ran across the guy and bought it back for $200. (that's a $150 profit:cuss: )

The neat thing about getting new grips, is that you can take pictures as though you've just gotten a brand new revolver.

Here are a few pics of some of my revolvers. The SA without a grip is an original Colt built in 1901. Let's help celebrate it's 105th birthday.
BTW, if anyone has a set of grips for an original Colt, let me know. Thanks
